Tasked with the responsibility of showcasing the custom tools and amazing creators behind the blockbuster movie, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, 14Four swung into action to help power Sony’s Beyond The Screen website, teaming up with Technology, Humans And Taste, for fans to enjoy exclusive spidey content.
Challenge
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse used bespoke animation methods to make scenes feel as though they were pulled straight from the comics, delivering an authentic super-hero experience. Mimicking this look and feel in the web layout required our design team to suit up and trust their [spidey] senses to assemble each unique style and create a site bursting with content that could pack a punch. Additionally, the site needed to function for Sony’s large Japanese audiences, so building a platform that could flawlessly transition between languages without any glitches was crucial.
Solution
Designed and developed on Earth-144, the team brought together both assets and stories from the movie into one amazing hub. Audiences will feel as though they are stepping through portal after portal, from any device, as they discover more about the characters, creators and craft beyond the big screen. As the classic saying goes: With great power comes great responsive web design.
